Leadership
There are many levels of leadership in First Presbyterian Church of Bakerstown. As with all Presbyterian churches, the Elders, elected by the congregation and currently serving on Session, make up the governing body of the church and are responsible for hiring the Pastors. The Pastors are responsible for the day-to-day operation of the church and are responsible for hiring the staff to accomplish this.
The current Board of Deacons, also elected by the congregation, provide leadership in ministering to those in need. In addition there are many areas of volunteer leadership and service by the members of the congregation.
FPCB also provides a leadership development course to encourage and prepare any and all members who are inclined to get involved in the church’s ministries to recognize and further develop their abilities.
